Roland Garros, 1981. Hardcover. 124 pages. 28 x 21,5 cm. Text in French. VG · Minor signs of wear.  We're totally in love with this amazing 'album programme'! We adore this super cover and typography! A drawing by our famous Spanish painter Eduardo Arroyo representing the silhouette of an everlasting idol of sport, Björn Borg.  Arroyo created the Roland Garros poster in 1981 and he didn't want to depict the tournament’s main symbols and usual features preferring to paint the undisputed king of world tennis from the mid-70s to the early 80s, the legendary tennis player Björn Borg. (In Luca Guadinigno’s film Call Me by Your Name, you can see the poster, among other posters hanging, on the walls of Ellio’s room) From the back, with his long blonde hair and a striped headband around -his iconic style- here is the undisputed king of world tennis <3 A true superstar of his generation! Interior full of great photos of icons of tennis and amazing advertising, the official schedule of the French Open and other of this legendary tournament.
