Peter Wooller, 1991. Hardcover. 152 pages. 30,5 x 22 cm. Text in English. Used. VG · Minor signs of wear, with slight sunning to spine.  The charm of this book is the way Jowitt tries to be equally thorough in his descriptions of the girls as with buses and trams. Jowitt’s obsession for documenting vehicles, as happens in 'Silence of Trolleybuses', 'Paris is Well Worth a Bus' or 'A Desire of Tramcars', is nothing exceptional... or not? It is so, thanks to one additional element, women. So, we are talking about cities, culture and women's fashion. And that's why the book appears to be divided in carefully chosen categories: hair, skirts, bags, hats...  An essential work for all street lovers, public service vehicles and, of course, fashion design.
